What is the best bank to finance a vehicle. My current apr is 7.4%. Could I get a better rate by refinancing? Does the interest rate cuts the Fed Reserve have implemented apply to refinancing an auto loan. If so please let me know. I jumped the gun with the 7.4 % apr and I'm sure I could of done better but now I have to find a better % rate out there. Any suggestions or answers?

You would be financing a used vehicle, which costs a higher interest rate than a new vehicle.

Capital One Auto Finance is great. Simple, easy, they send you a pre-approved check for up to a certain amount so when you go to the dealer, you get a better deal, having a check in hand. We just used them. We got 3000 off of a used car because we had that check in hand.

Give a credit union in your area a call. We found they are better on credit card a.p.r.'s and we didn't have to belong to anything special to join we just went in. My daughter got a great deal 2 years ago on her first %26quot;new%26quot; car loan.

I would consider Wachovia they took a hit like most other banks as far as the mortgage lending is concerned. They have been shopping lately for people to take advantage of their personal banking and auto finance products. Hope this helps.
