I don't have a job and i want to go to college but no one will help me where do i get help?

I have applied for every student loan known to man and still no one will help me until i have a job or some source of income. If they are willing to help thier applications are so complicated and i think they do it on purpose to deter people from appling. If someone has more information that may help please contact me. My family has refused to help.

I would go talk to someone at your school. I'm trying to get my boyfriend to go to school but he has some sort of fear for applying for student loans...and I never knew why...you seem to be experiencing what he fears. What I would suggest though I don't work and get help from my parents, is to go talk to someone at the school that you are interested in and just ask what your options are. That seems very frustrating. Just don't give up. You may just need to get a job for the sake of getting help for a loan. I realize how lucky and grateful I am for getting help. I do not envy you at all. But stick with it. I think if you talk to someone at the school and just be persistent someone will surely help you. try www.fafsa.ed.gov and fill out the application. You also have to decide what you want to study and find schools that offer those courses. You have to apply to the schools as well. Go to the high school you went to and see if they can find someone to help you.

Well, try applying for scholarships. You can go to your highschool and ask a teacher or guidance counselor to hep you fill out the applications also tell them about your financial and family situation, I am sure they can direct you into the right direction. Also, you should try to get a job, at a mall, restaurant, so you can have a source of income for that and your self.

If you don't have a job then you should be applying for federal and state education grants like Pell(federal)and Tap(state).This will help you pay the tuition.Check the financial aid office in the college you are applying for.Try not to get into owing loans if possible.Good luck.
