I need help about paying for my tuition?

I start school tommorrow, Jan. 16 and i owe $488 from last semester and I'm not able to register for this semester because i owe the $488. I was thinking to apply for a federal stafford loan to pay this amount and to use the loan to pay for my tuition for this semester but I wasn't able to download my application from my computer and had'nt had the chance to call the number the website provided so I feel that I'm stuck because I feel my dad won't pay my tuition and the amount that I owe and I'm not eligible for fiancial aid because my dad made too much and I'm not able to receieve work study because i wasn't able to receieve financial aid. What should I do?

try to aim for grants/scholarships more... they are not to be paid back. its confusing sometimes, but just keep applying.

every big (and small) company you see (manufacturer, orgs, corps and groups also) all have grants and scholarships they hand out like candy.

heres a link with a HUGE amount of some available. some you will need to copy and paste into a new window. also, fastweb (take the time to fill it in) will search databases and get back to you with a list of scholarships you qualify for.

Also contact all mens, womens associations in your state, they almost always have grants %26amp; scholarships. What ever field you are going into, contact the orgs, associations etc for them; they too always have scholarships. Research and dig, call then write. Its all worth it.

OVER apply; it doesnt hurt to have too many, and the extra funds can help with housing.

Wait a minute. You say you start school tomorrow, but then you say you are not able to register for this semester, etc. etc.

If you want to apply for a student loan, you have to do that before school starts. I mean like 4 or 5 weeks before it starts. If approved, they send you a check and you complete your registration. Use the money to pay tuition and buy books.

There is the BOG ( Board of Governors) fee waiver wich you may apply for, but ether way you still need to pay your fees of last semester because the BOG will not cover that if you were to qualify. With this you don't need to pay anything it covers your tuition only!
