Didnt even get a secured credit card!!!!?

I moved to the states from Germany a year ago...I dont have a credit history and I knew I cant get a credit card without one. So today I went to my bank %26quot;Bank of Amerika%26quot; where I have a debit card account...and asked for a SECURED card... and I still cant believed it I didnt get approved because I dont have a credit history! So what now?

My husband and me applied for a morgage loan...a couple of weeks ago.( He has a good credit) And we didn get approved because of me as a co-buyer without credit history!!! So thats why I researched and tryed to get the secured credit card!!

So is there anybody with the same experience or somebody who knows what to do/try next ???

Didnt even get a secured credit card!!!!?

As long as you have the money to deposit into an account there is no reason to be turned down for a secured card. Your credit limit will only go to the amount that you have deposited. I would look on line for a different company if your bank will not do it. Most times the interest is higher and there may be a fee. Look up credit card comparison online. If it is a mortgage that you are trying to get then maybe you should leave your name off the application. If your husbands credit is good enough he can apply by himself. Good Luck.

Didnt even get a secured credit card!!!!?

Don't know if you tried this already, but apply for one of the bad-credit credit cards that has an annual fee. You may have to pay 50 bucks, but it could be worth it to get some credit history.

Didnt even get a secured credit card!!!!?

Use your income but not your credit to purchase the home. It's done all the time. Then %26quot;quick claim%26quot; you on title once escrow closes.

Didnt even get a secured credit card!!!!?

Below is a list of secured cards that will approve you.

Didnt even get a secured credit card!!!!?

when I applied for a secured credit card in bank of america, my application took so long and when I came to the branch and asked about the status of my application, they told me that it wasnt even on the system! I got mad at them and took my money back, and went to wells fargo, I applied online and it took only 7 days and I had my credit card.

I highly recommend wellsfargo bank.

Didnt even get a secured credit card!!!!?

Try to get a Orchard bank card. They are for people with bad/no credit and are easy to get.

Didnt even get a secured credit card!!!!?

If your income is not being used to obtain the loan then leave your name off the applications and let him apply alone. Once he obtains the house then he can quit deed you on to it. It's never good to apply for credit together because if anything goes wrong then everybody has bad credit. And in the mean time establish you some credit for future purposes. Wish you luck and I hope his income is enough to obtain the house you are trying to purchase.

Didnt even get a secured credit card!!!!?

yes, you should go to US BANK website. they have secured cards. Orchard Bank does to and you get decision online. Your fiance can also call his/her credit card companies and add you as an authorized user his accounts. They will start adding his/her credit record to your report. It will look like you have had credit cards / accounts open since whenever s/he opened the accounts .

I would also see a different mortgage person. Sometimes they tell people this kind of thing to make them think they are a higher risk thus pay more interest. usually a bank would be thrilled to have any co signer on the account because if they have to ever foreclose or collect the debt, then they have two options instead of going after one person. Less risky for them.

See this website for lots of information regarding credit. There is a section where they list information about getting secured cards. Many people get them after bankruptcy. If they are willing to extend a card to someone after bankruptcy they should have no trouble taking someone with no history.

SAAS question?

I am re-sitting my 3rd year at uni, and I plan to graduate after I obtain my pass degree (i.e. I am not staying on for honours).

I am in the process of applying for my student loan. If I am repeating, I am not entitled to a bursary, and may not receive the whole amount of student loan.

If I put on my form that I am in my fourth year, (and therefore receive all expenses) will saas have any way of finding out that I am not?

I know it may seem a little unfair that I am trying to defruad the system, but I have my own house to run, and my part-time wage is not enough to cover my expeses and this is the only other income I have.

SAAS question?

I repeated my second year twice, and SAAS paid out on both the student fees and loan, so I think that as long as you explain your situation to them, then you may have a chance of getting it all.

SAAS question?

Yes, they confirm your details with your university before they will pay out.

Credit Rating?

Hi, I recentley applied for a car loan and was told that my credit rating was a tier 5. Could someone let me know in terms of credit where does that leave me. I have been trying to rebuild my credit and have not been late on any payments with credit cards etc...

Thanks

Mike A.

Credit Rating?

Auto finance is what I do for a living and tiers are a generic way some banks use to score credit.

Depending on the lender a tier 5 could be not so bad like at Capital One or could be very bad like at Tidewater.

So without actually looking at your credit, there is no way to answer this question correctly.

Credit Rating?

Well, at the bank I worked at Tier 1 was the best rating a person could get...I would pull your credit report and make sure there are no suprises on it that you didn't know about. Basically the tier refers to what range your credit score falls into.

You can pull it for free at https://www.annualcreditreport.com and you can get it from all 3 bureaus with no credit card.

Credit Rating?

Credit card issuing companies do pay great attention to your credit history. If you have a good credit history chances are fair that you will have a good credit limit. If not, try to improve upon your credit history. Make your car loan, mortgage, personal loan or student loans repayment on time. This will give the necessary boost to your credit history and increase your credit limits.

Older credit cards are also a good instrument to increase credit history. The longer you stay with a credit card the better it will reflect on your credit history. It is not a good idea to close old and longstanding credit cards, one should repay all balances on them and keep them in good standing. This will get you the faith of credit card issuing companies, and help increase the credit limits. read more from: http://www.credit-card-gallery.com/artic...

Question about home mortgages.?

I have the ability to buy a house for 200,000 and i am new to buying a home. I am kind of confused how the whole thing works. So i go to the bank and apply for a 200K home loan. So the APR for now is 6.5%. So for a 30year FMR would i end up paying 213,000 after 30 years? I am looking at roughly 650 a month on the safe side? And what is ment by refiencing a home?

Question about home mortgages.?

If all the information you have provided is true, your loan amount will be a 100% loan of $200,000 with a interest rate of 6.50% with interest payment of approximately $255,085.82. Your monthly pament will be $1265.14 per month. This is based on what you have provided so far.

What is not provided and will change the amount financed as well as provide your APR is the cost of your loan. These are the fees you have to pay like escrow (Closing) title, points and fees to get the loan. Once you have found out these charges you will be able to determine APR.

You should apply for a loan with a mortgage broker as oppose to a bank. This will prevent you from having to pay for more than one appraisal or credit report.

A mortgage broker has many lenders and underwriters signed up to underwrite his submissions and chances are he might even have the bank you want to use signed up as an underwriter for his loans also.

Check your telephone book and find one that is nearest you. He will ask a few well a lot of questions to complete the loan application. After that he will then run a credit report to determine the type of loans he will be able to offer you.

You should sit down eye ball to eye ball so you can go over each loan you are qualified for and allow this mortgage broker to explain in detail your mortgage options.

After that you need to select the one that is most beneficial to you. You will sign the loan docs and state that you understand

the type loan you are getting.

I see that you indicated a 30 year fixed, get a good explaination of this type loan and keep an open mind about the any other loan you aare qualified for.

Some will tell you that a 30 of 40 year fixed is the only way to go, but you are getting a loan that benefit you and you alone. What works for some may not work for you, so get all the information you need to make an intelligent decision for you and your family.

This might be a 5-7 or 10 year adjustable but that is your decision. If the 30 or 40 year fixed is most beneficial to you by all means go for it, but keep an open mind about your options.

Once you have decided on the loan you want, you will get a pre-approval that indicate how much house you are authorized to purchase.

You will then be directed toward a real estate agent who will assist you in finding a house you will be comfortable in for you and your family.

After you have selected the house the real estate agent will then get a sales contract for you and the seller to sign. He will then pass this signed contract to your mortgage broker, after which the mortgage broker will order an appraisal to determine the value of the house.

Once all this has been done, you will be asked for additional documentation for the underwriter.

Once all this has taken place you will be told by your mortgage broker that you rate on your mortgage has been locked in and he will order the loan docs from the underwriter for you and your spouse to sign.

A date will be set for you to sign the loan docs. Make sure you confirm with your mortgage broker the interest rate, if you have a fixed rate or an adjustable rate, how long your mortgage is for 30 years 40 years and the adjustable periods if you have an adjustble. He should be able to tell you this.

Now when you go to sign the loan docs if anything is different than what you spoke to your mortgage broker about, stop signing and give this person a call.

Once the loan docs are signed for a new purchase you are now a home owner with a mortgage to pay ech month.

Now about a refinance. This is a transaction where for some reason you decide that you want to re-mortgage your house because you can get a lower interest rate thus saving you some money by reducing your monthly mortgage payment.

You might refinance to get out of an adjustable rate mortgage.

If you have enough equity to pay off some credit cards or a car payment you might also refinance your home and take out some money to pay these high end debts off thus reducing your consumer monthly payments. You could reduce your monthly mortgage payments, also but don't count on in is this case.

Remember, when you refinance you start a new mortgage payment all over again so you now have a new thirty or forty year loan.

I hope this has been of some use to you, good luck.

%26quot;FIGHT ON%26quot;

Question about home mortgages.?

Ummm...you have a grossly skewed notion of what a mortgage is all about. Your monthly payment for interest and principal only will be about $1,265.00, and the total amount you will pay out over the term of the mortgage if you keep it for the full thirty years is about $455,000.00

Can you help me get out of my massive credit card debt?

I have about 7500 in credit card debt. I know this may not seem like a lot to some people, but I'm only 24 and I bought a truck that I probably shouldn't have and the payments on that are what's killing me. I've decided that the last thing I want to do is get rid of the truck. I have fallen behind on some of my payments and am acquiring late fees and higher interest rates, and my credit is being shot to hell in a hurry. I have applied for several personal loans to pay off my credit cards and get one lower monthly payment, but I've been denied every time because of my poor credit. I don't really want to go through a credit counseling service yet, because that shows up on my credit report and will further reduce my score. I have worked thorugh my budget with a fine tooth comb and I've done calcualting with differnt loan terms/interest rates/etc. and I know I can afford one, but how do I get one? Any advice you can give would be greatly appreciated.

Can you help me get out of my massive credit card debt?

Hi Nick:

Obviously you don't want to get rid of the truck. This appears to be your priority. However, you've already experienced difficulty getting a consolidation loan. Having said that I would suggest:

1. Figure out how much you can send realistically to your credit cards.

2. Call your creditors and explain that you've overextended yourself. You know that you've got to pay your bills and want to do the responsible thing. Work out a payment arrangement. Get names, and dates of each person you speak to.

3. Cover every conversation with a letter outlining the payment arrangements and the person you've spoken to. Send it via certified, registered or overnight mail.

4. Cover your assets by keeping copies of the letters and confirmation of receipt in a safe place.

5. Get a part-time job. This will help you earn extra money and keep out of spending trouble.

6. Cut up or shred all your credit cards. You won't need them to keep your credit active because you'll be making payments on your truck.

7. Follow your payment plan exactly.

It is very important that you clean up your credit now. A poor credit score can cost you thousands in higher interest charges. It also affects how much you pay for car insurance, whether you can get utilities without a deposit and possibly your ability to get a job.

Good Luck!

Even if it's the last thing you want to do, get rid of the truck anyway - you can't afford it. It doesn't matter if you are upside down on the loan, you are always upside down on car loans. Keeping it will just force you into more debt faster.

Second, until you pay off your debts, anytime you even think about spending money on a nonessential item (and in this case, nonessential is anything beyond basic survival), put you hands in your pockets and keep them there until the thought of spending money goes away. Do not carry cash, do not carry a check book, do not carry credit cards. Get serious about your money NOW.

Yes, it's no fun. You can't afford fun right now. So, put your head down, work, eat, sleep, and pay your bills. Period. Time to be a man, not a boy.

Can you help me get out of my massive credit card debt?

The first answer does not make sense. You have a truck with a license plate. If you changed your name and address, you would have to change your motor vehicle registration, and that is a public record.

I am sure you have heard of the expression: %26quot;You cannot have your cake and eat it, too.%26quot; That's where you are right now. Your best course of action is to sell the truck, pay off the debt, and if any money is left, use it to buy a cheaper truck.

The credit card company can sue you, get a judgment, and take your truck. If they take the truck, they will sell it at auction and may end up selling it for a lot less than it is worth. You are still responsible for the debt remaining if the sales price is less than what you owe.

Oprah did a great episode on Debt Diet. You should track it down on her website. It gives you advice and guide through ways in which you can solve your problem :)

Can you help me get out of my massive credit card debt?

Increase your assets and reduce your liabilities.

It appears that the truck is one that you cannot afford in the first place. Don't drown in debt. That's the last thing anyone would want. Sell it and use public transport for the time being. That should make life a lot easier.

You may have to take up another part time job to increase your earnings to pay off the debt. Its no fun but you must do it.

After your debt is cleared you may consider going in for a previously owned vehicle. They are cheap too.

Always bite off how much you can chew. That's the lesson many people in debt have to learn.

Can you help me get out of my massive credit card debt?

Credit counseling no longer causes your score to drop further. That practice ended around 1999 after a study done by Fair Isaac Corp. They found that people who are on a debt management plan are no more likely to default than those who are not.

If your accounts are past due, then you will have to double up on payments to bring them current. This means increasing your income through overtime or a second job.

Applying for more loans is what will reduce your credit score. I do not recommend applying for any more loans.

It would make good sense for you to meet with a credit counselor. This does not mean that you have to enroll in a debt management plan. They can frequently give you ideas and strategies to help you get back on track on your own. However, based on the limited information you provided, it sounds like a debt management plan may be the only alternative you have to defaulting on your debt.

You seem to recognize what the pressures are on your budget. You know your situation better than anyone, so whatever you decide, make sure it is in your best interests. Good luck.

To stopccdebt: I would be interested in looking at the source of your information regarding how credit counseling (debt repair?) does not effect your credit score. Everything I have read is quite the opposite.

And the fact that you own a credit counseling company makes this comment suspecious and self-serving. So if I'm wrong, kindly point me to the source of your information.

amkornele's answer is the best. All I can add is that you may be able to survive if you could get a consolidation loan of some sort.

When you apply, talk to the loan officer and ask them not to run a credit check unless they are seriously considering offering you the loan. Take a copy of your current credit report with you, along with all of your financial data. Demonstrate to the officer that you do have a plan for payment. If you have a job, consider having payments sent directly from your paycheck. I've had cases where the loan officer was on the fence, and knowing that the money was going to be directly taken convinced him to accept.

Good luck

Personal loans aren't the answer. The APRs will be too high.

You need to get a second or third job, get a few roommates, sell your belongings, and raise some cash.

Will my credit score go up once a disputed item is taken off of my credit report?

I applied for a personal loan through capitol one and was denied d/t something on my credit report. So I did the 1 time a year free credit report and found out that Sears/City reported me for nonpayment on a card that belongs to my exhusband of 8 years. (he is filing bankruptcy) It has me as an authorized user. We called the credit card company and they said that I was not on that credit card. I am disputing it with equifax. Once it is taken off of my credit report, will my score go up? Should I reapply for the loan? I had excellent credit before this. I make good money and I always pay my debts. We have been divorced for 8 years.

Will my credit score go up once a disputed item is taken off of my credit report?

The FICO score may go up as much as 60 points if a derogatory item is taken off your credit report. The improvement also depends on other accounts in your credit report.

Will my credit score go up once a disputed item is taken off of my credit report?

If a debt is removed from your credit report, your score should go up.

However, there are quirks that would prevent that, at least for a few months. I just found a really good article that explains why:

Would not having the money for books be a good excuse for failure in college?

I get financial aid, %26amp; I don't have the money to pay for books because the check goes to the school. I applied for a book loan through the school that's NOT credit-based, %26amp; they deduct it out of your financial aid refund check. They declined my application for I don't know what reason. That would be the only way I'd have money for books. I'm very IRRITATED right now! I'm having a panic attack. I really want to do well this semester %26amp; pass, but how can I if my refund check doesn't come until 2 weeks after school starts, %26amp; I'm going to be way behind %26amp; it'll be very hard for me to catch up?

Would not having the money for books be a good excuse for failure in college?

That is so ridiculous that they are holding your financial aid instead of giving you your books. Have you been able to speak to anyone in the financial aid office about this?. I cannot imagine they think you can go without books until you get a refund.

Please try to talk face to face with someone in the financial aid office and see if someone can fix this.

You are correct, it will be way too hard to catch up two weeks later.

Would not having the money for books be a good excuse for failure in college?

Tell your professor your situation and ask if he/she can photocopy the text until your loan comes in. Most reasonable professors will understand and help you out.

Would not having the money for books be a good excuse for failure in college?

i got a private loan and they will generally let you spend the money on whatever. also go to your student financial office, because you need books!!! Try buying them used or on amazon. but if there's no money, there's no money. with private lenders like sallie mae, they can raise the % rate on you so DO NOT consolidate like I did, unless you get them to spill blood and swear it's not at a higher interest rate. Maybe you could get a small private student loan to cover books.

Would not having the money for books be a good excuse for failure in college?

that really sucks, just try to get the books, you shouldnt miss much in 2 weeks if you try to borrow ppls books, sometimes there is a copy in the library.

Would not having the money for books be a good excuse for failure in college?

No, ask your teacher if he or she has a copy of the book or if she can make copies for you of the text until your loan comes through. Otherwise, just keep making phone calls to your financial aid officer and explain that the check wasn't for enough. He or she will know what you should do.

Would not having the money for books be a good excuse for failure in college?

You should contact your school's financial aid office and ask why you were rejected. It could be something simple that perhaps you could fix. Also, if they still reject you ask what other options you have for getting books before your loan check comes through. I'm sure the school will work with you to help you get books for the semester.

Would not having the money for books be a good excuse for failure in college?

Go to student aid and ask them about options. Explain that you are in a desperate situation. Cry if you have to- they may give you a credit or a waiver to use for books at the bookstore.

Find out which of your books are in the library and don't buy those.

Ask your friends if you can borrow the books and take great notes, photocopy what you think is important.

Good luck!

Do you have a credit card? Even one with a tiny limit- then get the books from amazon or half. I don't use the bookstore, it is too expensive.

If not, apply for a job as a server- your cash tips will pay for your books.

Would not having the money for books be a good excuse for failure in college?

If you talk to your professor, usually they are very understanding and if they can't loan you a book, they can at least let you make copies from theirs. Other times it's easier to ask a fellow student if you can photocopy their book. Don't worry, not everyone has their books the first week and you probably won't be alone.

Would not having the money for books be a good excuse for failure in college?

Library.

It's that building in your college where the (surprise, surprise) BOOKS are. Some libraries will lend out textbooks to student - find out what's your school library policy is. Some professors also 'put' their copies in the library so that students can use them. Most of these textbooks can only be used in the library (meaning you cannot take them home). So...if you do want to bu the textbook when you get your check - just do this borrowing books and study at the library thing for two weeks.

My personal experience teach me that you can survive without buying the exorbitantly priced textbooks, especially if it's only for lower classes. Borrowing from library (and yes, studying at the library which will cut your social time - unless you can get some friends to study with you) will save you monies to buy the more important textbooks in the upper div. classes

Is this good??

I applied for a student loan, my friend co-signed with me.. I got conditionally approved, printed out the promissory note/contract.. basically I mail it in and they do the attendance and income verification and then disburse the funds.. is there a good chance I am going to get the loan??

Is this good??

The only way to find out id to send it in.

Is this good??

there is a very good chance you will get the loan. This is because loans are their business--- they are willing to loan you as much as possible to make a profit in the long run. You do not need to worry!

Is this good??

you will get the loan. I found interesting information about your answer, college loans with low interests, scholarships, college grants here.http://all-student-loan-consolidation.bl...

Next Credit Building Step?

I have one credit card, that I've had for approx six months. I'm trying to build my credit score. (just started w/ credit, no history other than credit card) I applied for a personal loan through Regions, and was not approved. They told me that I would need a co-signer. Unfortunately, both parties, I depend on are unable to co-sign at the moment. I ran my credit report, and got a score through www.annualcreditreport.com. My score was 637. When I spoke with my bank, they said that I didn't even have a score show up. WHY would this happen? What is the next course of action? I need to build my credit...I'm getting married next year, and we are planning to take out a Medical Loan within the next year. What other options do I have? How are you supposed to build credit when no one trust you?

Next Credit Building Step?

Instead of taking out a medical loan look into care credit. It is a credit card for medical expenses. It has 0% intrest for the first 18 months of any transaction. It can be used for any medical expense and it also can be used at some Vets. This will also help you to build your credit. Also you can try to get a secured loan through the bank. Say you want to purchase something like a lawn mower ask the bank for the the cost of the lawn mower in a loan they will use the lawn mower as collateral. Your credit score is pretty good as it stands now. However, you will find out banks, car dealers, mortgage companies etc all use different ways to obtain credit scores, What you may see as your credit score from one location may not be what these people see,

Next Credit Building Step?

637? wow that pretty good

Next Credit Building Step?

Have you opened a cell phone account? or a land line phone acccount? Are you responsible for any other utilites like gas and electric or water? Do you pay rent? These %26quot;bills%26quot; you pay on time can help increase your credit score. The next thing to do is ask the holder of your credit card to please increase your limit.

Next Credit Building Step?

please visit dave ramsey.com b4 u get sold into debt slavery and the fallacies/myths.

great old fashion option that works = cash.

do not get into the credit game. if u think the housing market is bad - wait till u see the damage done in the credit crash coming.

debt is great way to get divorced.

Next Credit Building Step?

The first thing you should do, if you don't already have one, is open up a bank account in your name. it can be a checking or a savings it doesn't matter which one. It actually counts more for your credit history if you have both but either one generates a positive for you.

As long as you maintain these accounts and keep them positive all is well. now don't go for just any bank either. Shop around and see which one works best for you. Make sure to look and interest rates for the savings accounts and make sure you know any service fees there may be and how much they are.

Knowing those few things can help you easily maintain your account(s) efficiently. A few of the top ranking banks right now are Bank of America, Wachovia and Citi Bank.

Loans, Credit card and bank accounts are not the only things that go on your credit. Your renting history and utility bills also have a place in there too. Your renting history can tell a lender what kind of person you are based on how many places you've lived in the past year.

The renting history's role is basically an indicator of your stability. The utilities are used in the same way. If a lender sees that you owe the electric company money he will perceive you as a high risk because electric is important and if you can't pay that then what will convince him that you will pay him for a car loan.

Credit cards are a good way to start getting credit. The only thing is getting approved as a teenager, you can apply at six different places and may not get approved for any of them, which by the way can hurt your credit. Just remember that if you do get a credit card to manage it properly.

Make sure that you can afford the payments. Also paying the total balance all at once may not be all that good for your credit. If you remember I previously mentioned that companies look at how long you paid over time loyally rather than how quick you pay.

Small loans can help just like a credit card can. You pay them over time so you build a relationship between you and the credit companies or lenders. Generally you need 10% down of the total amount your borrowing to get a loan, plus on top of that you have to get approved. These may be a bit harder to get but will definitely improve your all over score.

Credit is not instant. It takes time and devotion. You should know it will take you at least 6 months to a year before credit agencies will even look at you for a loan.

Just keep it steady and don't go over your budget. The key is to keep all accounts positive and stay within your budget. When applying for credit cards look over the credit card applications carefully and look for any credit card offers companies are offering as a special that will benefit you.

Good Luck!

Right to husband's property?

Hi,

This is about my friend who is on the verge of separation from her husband. The legal proceedings are going on. She is a working lady and has a regular monthly income. In their good times, she and her husband had jointly applied for a housing loan for a flat which is registered in the husband's name only. In such a case, is she not entitled to a share for this apartment. How can she claim her property ? Thanks.

Right to husband's property?

She really needs to talk to an attorney about this. Since the apartment was acquired during their marriage, she may be eligible to receive 1/2 the value of it.

Right to husband's property?

She needs to speak to her lawyer about all of this.

Right to husband's property?

Depending on where they live, mostly everything is split 50/50. So they might have to sell.

Right to husband's property?

Thats a good question. Normally I think it's 50/50 but she needs to speak with her attorney on this. Good Luck!

Right to husband's property?

she sounds like a gold digger. Typical female, want, want, want

Right to husband's property?

If they applied for a loan together, she would have had to sign a disclaimer deed. By doing so, she would have no claim on the the apt. or the equity.

The furnishings, car, bank accounts, stocks, and any other assets are 50/50 if they live in a community property state.

A lawyer could adviser her best.

Right to husband's property?

She needs to contact her lawyer and see what her rights are in all of this as a married wife. She may be entitled to half but i am not exactly sure since i am not an expert on this matter and am not a lawyer.

Not enough money to cover on Campus Housing. No cosigner available.?

A friend of mine is having trouble paying for school. She needs to live on campus her home life isn't great. So she would have to live on campus. The most she received from federal was 10,000 but that would cover tuition with a little left over but not cover the cost of housing. SHe has applied for every private loan available only to get denied because she has absolutely no credit and a part time job.

She received several scholarships but they are NOT good until next fall. I thought I could sneak and let her stay in my room but I learned I could get into a lot of trouble. Do you think its feasible for her to pay a housing deposit get a room assignment and just stay and owe the school and work to pay it back b4 the Fall . Or will they kick her out? Because of her job income, and lack of credit she can't get a place of her own.

How does the %26quot;housing%26quot; thing work in most colleges.

Not enough money to cover on Campus Housing. No cosigner available.?

I suggest your friend visit the Contact the the Housing office. Be persistant! Keep asking who to talk to next %26amp; what options are available to her, etc.

Not enough money to cover on Campus Housing. No cosigner available.?

Has she gone to talk to the school's financial aid department and/or housing yet? Even if they can't adjust her loans, they may be able to point her toward some off-campus listings in her price range.

it is too expensive if she only gets like FAFSA

Borrow from bank @ 9% or family trust @ 7%...pro's and cons, please?

My wife and I applied for an auto loan. We can borrow traditionally from a bank @ 9% or can go thru a family trust @ 7%...which makes sense because we can borrow more cheaply and pay the family more than they can fetch in today's current interest rate environment (it would save a couple thousand dollars over the term of the loan).

However...we want to buy a house in a few years so WILL A BANK LOAN REPAYMENT OUTWEIGH THE LOWER INTEREST COST WE CAN RECIEVE NOW, meaning will this enable us to borrow at a lower cost when it comes mortage time.

Thanks

Borrow from bank @ 9% or family trust @ 7%...pro's and cons, please?

I borrowed from my family trust, I feel I did the right thing for myself.

Borrow from bank @ 9% or family trust @ 7%...pro's and cons, please?

While you have every intention in the world of repaying the family trust, money can tear apart all but the strongest of families.

While borrowing from the family trust might save money, just be aware of the risks.

Mortgage Interest Deductions?

If I paid my mortgage payment late and the mortgage company applied it to the loan for months in 2007, but the payment was processed in 2008 can I use them on my 2007 taxes for interest?

Mortgage Interest Deductions?

Claim it for 2007.

The bank will actually claim the interest as income for 2007.

Mortgage Interest Deductions?

Depends. When did you pay it? When did you send in the check controls what year it is applicable for tax purposes. However if you try to claim differently from what the 1099 mortgage interest statement shows, the IRS may question your claims.

Mortgage Interest Deductions?

If the interest was processed in 2008, it will be reported by the mortgage company in 2008 and should not be used in your 2007 tax return.

Mortgage Interest Deductions?

You need to use it for the tax year that the interest was actually paid which was 2008. Your bank should have already sent you a statement of interest and taxes it paid in 2007. Any deviations from this could send you to Auditville.

How to fix my credir score?

recently,I applied for a house loan,my credit scores was checked many times,my scores droped from 680 to 630,how to fix that, how long it will take?

How to fix my credir score?

I don't think anyone can tell you exactly how long it will take for your score to rise.

If you have any late payments, get them paid up. Then continue to pay all of your bills in full on time every month. Eventually your score will rise.

To get the best rates, you need a score of 720 or up.

How to fix my credir score?

Hi,

Do not ever again have your credit score check by anybody you talk to. If you are not ready to buy at the near moment within 3 months when you check your credit score - don't do or touch it. It takes 2 years to get it high and going again. In the beginning you already have a drowing credit, it will go down some more. Pay your bills on time every month religiously - meaning you can't even be late on any payments. Do not close or apply for any credit cards. Do not go job hopping at least after you bought you new home for at least 2 years. You should have at least 800+ credit score - this will be easy to get a loan with very secure rates. An you have to have checking and savings account with money on it. (2 is the secret number. example: 2 years in the job, 2 years of good standing, 2 years of savings and checking, 2 years good standing with your telephone bills, pg%26amp;e, and other monthly bills for your house needs and 2 years good standing in your major credit cards.)

Good Luck.

How to fix my credir score?

To Repair credit score

Your credit score is based mostly on:

1. Length of credit history

2. Payment history.

3. Ratio of credit used to available credit.

4. Number of credit inquiries you authorized.

If you cancel your card, you'll be hurting your credit ratio. (#3).

You want to deliberately keep your oldest credit card open, even if you never use it.

You want to always pay the minimums of each loan on time every month.

You want to keep your available credit high, but actually only have balances equalinig 25% or less.

You want to keep your credit inquiries to a minimum. Try for no more than 3 or 4 per year for any type of loans.

You do these things and your credit score will quickly soar into the 700s.

Can you help me find links on what are the best on line schooling is. I want to further my career in

i want to take some on line schooling to become a certified teacher. and am unsure where to start or which site to trust. is there also ways that i can apply for grants or loans to help me thru the cost of my education.?

I have always enjoyed working with children and i have tutored many small children to give them a better start. I have worked in childcare and have taught 4 year olds class. i also subed as a kindergarden helper when youngest child was in school. I really enjoy working with children and i believe it would be a good carrer for me to get involved in and have a good future.

I am thanking you in advance for all you help . THANK YOU!

Can you help me find links on what are the best on line schooling is. I want to further my career in teaching

There are three ways you can do it:

1. This is the easiest, study a CELTA/TESOL course, which takes about 1 month, and become an English as a second/foreign language teacher. This qualification is sometimes not enough on it's own, in certain countries, so you may also need a bachelor's degree (in any field).

2. This one is medium, have a look at becoming a Montessori teacher at:

http://unitedmontessori.com/

This course takes a year to complete, but can be done in your schedule, as it's a distance course.

3. The longest, study for your B. Ed. That takes three years, then you may also need further qualifications depending on the age of students, level and subject(s) you wish to teach.

Each of these has it's own pros and cons. ESL/EFL is good if you want to travel, but not if you intend to stay or live in an English speaking country.

Montessori is quite a specialist job and market. You would only find work in a Montessori school, but there are quite a few around.

The 'real' teacher option can be very emotionally rewarding, but it is a lot of hard work to get a job in a field that doesn't pay well and is unbelievably stressful. If you are considering this last option, have a really good re-think about what you can see yourself spending your working career as (i.e. could you survive the stress and frustration of being a teacher?).

I wish you all the best with whatever you choose, but choose wisely!

I don't have a job and i want to go to college but no one will help me where do i get help?

I have applied for every student loan known to man and still no one will help me until i have a job or some source of income. If they are willing to help thier applications are so complicated and i think they do it on purpose to deter people from appling. If someone has more information that may help please contact me. My family has refused to help.

I don't have a job and i want to go to college but no one will help me where do i get help?

I would go talk to someone at your school. I'm trying to get my boyfriend to go to school but he has some sort of fear for applying for student loans...and I never knew why...you seem to be experiencing what he fears. What I would suggest though I don't work and get help from my parents, is to go talk to someone at the school that you are interested in and just ask what your options are. That seems very frustrating. Just don't give up. You may just need to get a job for the sake of getting help for a loan. I realize how lucky and grateful I am for getting help. I do not envy you at all. But stick with it. I think if you talk to someone at the school and just be persistent someone will surely help you. Maybe the school has a special program that they deal with frequently and they can point you in the right direction. Good luck. I wish you the best. Hang in there. Keep your head up.

I don't have a job and i want to go to college but no one will help me where do i get help?

I guess I should be greatful and kiss my dad in the morning. I don't work and go to college. I hope you do too. wishing you good luck!

I don't have a job and i want to go to college but no one will help me where do i get help?

try www.fafsa.ed.gov and fill out the application. You also have to decide what you want to study and find schools that offer those courses. You have to apply to the schools as well. Go to the high school you went to and see if they can find someone to help you.

I don't have a job and i want to go to college but no one will help me where do i get help?

Well, try applying for scholarships. You can go to your highschool and ask a teacher or guidance counselor to hep you fill out the applications also tell them about your financial and family situation, I am sure they can direct you into the right direction. Also, you should try to get a job, at a mall, restaurant, so you can have a source of income for that and your self.

I don't have a job and i want to go to college but no one will help me where do i get help?

Have you tried the FASFA?

Also, if they all want you to have a job, why not get one?

I don't have a job and i want to go to college but no one will help me where do i get help?

If you don't have a job then you should be applying for federal and state education grants like Pell(federal)and Tap(state). This will help you pay the tuition.Check the financial aid office in the college you are applying for.Try not to get into owing loans if possible.Good luck.

My brother will be in prison until 2011...?

I have bailed him out several times and he owes me a lot of money, would it be wrong for me to apply for credit cards/loans in his name?

My brother will be in prison until 2011...?

1- It would be wrong. You cannot ethically defraud a third party to recoup your brother's debt to you.

2-It would be a crime. You cannot legally defraud a third party to recoup your brother's debt to you.

3- It would not work- no credit card or loans will be made available to someone whose credit report shows their current address to be a prison, and who has no reportable income.

My brother will be in prison until 2011...?

Dont do it unless you want to be in jail with him. Using someone elses name to get credit is a federal offense!

My brother will be in prison until 2011...?

Yes.

My brother will be in prison until 2011...?

Yes, it wouldn't just be wrong, it would be illegal. When he gets out, don't provide further bail or loan him any more money!

My brother will be in prison until 2011...?

Yes, it would be wrong and you too could be sent to jail as a result of doing so.

Don't do it.

My brother will be in prison until 2011...?

The credit card company will not approve your application because of the bad record of your brother.

My brother will be in prison until 2011...?

It will put you in your own prison cell.

My brother will be in prison until 2011...?

no way! u will get sent to federal prison. dont do it

My brother will be in prison until 2011...?

You can do it.........You can do it all night long!

My brother will be in prison until 2011...?

Your mom would be so proud. 2 kids, in 2 jails.

Go ahead, break the law, get cards, you'll end up just like him.

What information can banks ask for?

When applying for a stated loan, is employment verified? And if so, what information can the lender ask my employer?

What information can banks ask for?

Yes, your employment is verified and they can ask anything they want, but getting that information is different. Your employer is only obligated to tell them you are employed, and your salary range is between $0 and $00 dollars; how long you've been employed, and your job title.

Georgia lending group?

Has anyone ever actually received a loan from Georgia Lending Group @ 191 Peachtree NE. I applied for a auto loan with them for $5000 %26amp; they said i was approved with $500 down. Georgia lending group?

sounds like a scam

Georgia lending group?

Smart catch...you are about one step away from losing $500. Why would someone who is to lend you money require you send money to them. Also, good job trusting your instincts on the personal name versus the company name. This sounds like a huge scam. Stay away. In the future you could always check companies out by looking at the Better Business Bureau website, in which this case the company or person probably wont even exist. Also, never send money via Western Union like this, no bank or lending institution would ever ask you to do such a thing.

Georgia lending group?

This is an advance-fee loan scam. You should never have to pay in advance of receiving a loan. Do not wire any funds unless you never want to see that money again.

Georgia lending group?

it s a scam dont do it i just lost 500

How do I get a Pre-Approval Commitment Letter?

I applied for a home loan with a mortgage officer and was approved they told me all I had to do was find a house and then come in with all my financial papers to get the loan. We found a house but our realtor said to get the pre approval letter first. So can I get a pre approval letter from them now or do I have to take in all my papers first? Thanks

How do I get a Pre-Approval Commitment Letter?

No, just like others have mentioned, just ask your loan officer for a pre-approval letter. If they have already run all your numbers then they should be able to get the letter to you in under 5 minutes. Then, once you are under contract officially, you will give the loan officer the contract so he/she can go ahead an begin processing the loan for closing.

How do I get a Pre-Approval Commitment Letter?

No, just contact your loan officer and get a copy of the preapproval letter for your realtor. Nothing too complicated at this stage.

How do I get a Pre-Approval Commitment Letter?

HELLO!

To get a pre-qualification letter, you need to fill out an application and have your credit run and verified. This takes 30 minutes. All this means is that you qualify based on what you furnished as information about your job, pay and assets. To get an approval, you need to send in your paperwork and get an appraisal done. Hope that helps!!

How do I get a Pre-Approval Commitment Letter?

Some loan officers hand out pre-approval letters like business cards. Don't get stuck at the end of the transaction. Find an experienced loan officer, give them your support documentation and get the loan approved.

How do I get a Pre-Approval Commitment Letter?

Your lendor should provide you with the pre-approval letter. We are in the process of buying a house now. After we submitted our application and proof of income/investments and had a credit check, we had a bunch of forms to sign with good faith estimates of total costs. Once everything was approved, we received the commitment letter in the mail - one copy to sign and return and the other for us to keep.

Call you mortgage broker, it sounds like you got an undocumented approval - which is approval based on info you provided but did not have proof of, this is more like a pre-qualification. You will probably have to provide them will all your financials first, so I would call as soon as you can.

How do I get a Pre-Approval Commitment Letter?

just call them and tell them you need it and they will send it to you depending on your credit score they may need some paper work but generally do not since they have already pre approved you.

How do I get a Pre-Approval Commitment Letter?

Normally a Pre-Approved Commitment Letter is good for a certain time period. Take the pre-approval letter to the realtor as proof of a commitment.

Whats the difference between Modular and Manufactured When your talking homes?

In applying for a home loan Iam told that manufactured homes are often not common loan options but Modular is, how do you know the diffrence? and what is this metal plate suppose to on these homes ,, what am I looking for when looking for this plate

Whats the difference between Modular and Manufactured When your talking homes?

I laugh everytime someone asks a questions about mobile homes, manufactured homes or modular homes and all the %26quot;mortgage%26quot; experts come out in force. Fact is you have 1 answer so far that is somewhat right and abunch of opinions, not facts. Here is the difference between manufactured homes and modular homes. A manufactured home falls under HUD building codes and guildlines. The tag on the end of the home is the HUD tag. It is 2%26quot; x 3%26quot; and the number on it is the registered HUD approval number for that unit. HUD records these numbers, and that certifies to the buyer that this home meets or exceeds HUD's requirements. HUD's requirements are more strict than most local building codes!!! The modular home falls under UBC ( united building code) building code. The modular home also has a 2%26quot; x 3%26quot; tag on it certifing that home meets UBC codes and guildlines. Most modulars are manufactured by a manufactured home company and most times in the same plant. Modulars come delivered to your site the same as a manufactured home. If you where to pass one going down the highway you could not tell the difference. The modulars come 2 ways. What is called %26quot;frame off%26quot; meaning that it will be set on a basement and the undercarriage will be removed before instalation, and %26quot;frame on%26quot; which means it will be set on a pier and beam, and the undercarriage stays with the home. When it comes to financing a manufactured home is typically done as a %26quot;chattel%26quot; loan which means it is treated as a personal property loan. Most of these loans require a minimum down payment of 5% with terms up to 240 months, but they can also be done as a true real estate mortgage. There are both conventional, FHA and VA loans avalaible. These loans are usually done with 10% down (conv) and 0 down through FHA, with terms to 360 months and rates that fall right inline with stick built mortgage rates. Modular homes are concidered SFR (single family residence) and qualify the same as stick built homes with the same terms and rates.

Whats the difference between Modular and Manufactured When your talking homes?

It would be a great answer if dano was right.... Report It

Whats the difference between Modular and Manufactured When your talking homes?

I think its 1978 but its been awhile. There will be a metal plate on the property that says when it was built. Usually those built before a certain date cant get financing. Once again I want to say Im not sure of the exact date but I think its 1978.

A mobile home is that, mobile. It can be moved. A modular home was a mobile home that was placed on a basement or a slab and had its axel removed. Thus no longer mobile.

The difference from a mobile home and modular home is title. Is it a trust deed? (real estate property). Or personal property (car loan). That plate will probably tell you or you can call your locally county recorders office and ask them to look up the property. They will tell you.

Whats the difference between Modular and Manufactured When your talking homes?

Mobile Home Construction refers to a building method where the home is built according to a national HUD code instead of the local building code. This code allows mobile homes to be built with different and often lesser quality standards than regular houses. The goal is to provide housing that is more affordable than regular housing. The main disadvantages of mobile homes are that they depreciate in value, they do not qualify for conventional mortgages and insurance costs are higher. The characteristic that is most unique to mobile homes is that the floor is a metal chassis with removable wheels that is used to transport the home to the job site. The only similarities between the two methods of construction are that the homes are built as modules and they are both built in factories.

Many mobile home companies also produce modular homes in the same factory. These modular homes built by mobile home companies are built according to local building codes but often contain the same lesser quality materials and are built with the same lesser quality standards as mobile homes. Wausau Homes does not build mobile homes and only uses high quality materials and standards in our modular homes.

Technically a manufactured home is a mobile home. In 1976 the US Government adopted a national HUD building code for mobile homes. In that program they defined mobile homes as manufactured homes and the mobile home industry has since adopted that name. A better name to use for these types of homes is manufactured mobile homes.

Whats the difference between Modular and Manufactured When your talking homes?

Manufactured homes are still considered by most to be a glorified Mobile Home. Modular homes are considered a kit like back in the old days when Sears and Roebuck sold home kits (think puzzle pieces) to individuals who built their own homes.

Manufactured homes depreciate rapidly as well.

I'm guessing the plate is used to attach the Modular home to the foundation where as the Manufactured home just sits on top.

Whats the difference between Modular and Manufactured When your talking homes?

Manufactured is a trailer house, it's built completely in a factory on a movable steel frame (perhaps that is the metal plate your referring to) and that is pulled onto the land and skirting is put around the bottom. Modular is a pre-fab, that is built piece by piece in a factory and then all the pieces are brought to the land sight by a truck and put together. I know Manufactured homes usually need special financing...ie. a loan company that specializes in mobile homes.

Credit Experts, Please Read My Question?

Hi,

I'm Alex, and have a serious question for you all. One of my biggest dream is to buy a Kramer Paul Dean Signature guitar. There is one person who is selling me his model, however he wants $800.00 for it. Some things to know are the following, I do have a Capital One card, Macy's, JC Penney as well. My Capital One card does not cover that amount. Also I've already applied for two personal loans at Banner Bank %26amp; Bank of America and both declined my request. They said I didn't have enough credit history, I honestly don't know why since I always make my payments on time and never miss any payments. So I get an offer from Visa Platinum that has a $1,000 credit limit, should I accept it just to purchase my dream guitar?

It does have high interest rates, but I have a feeling once the guitar is paid off, it will be worth it all.

My question is this - Should I apply for that Visa Platinum to make the purchase of the guitar?

Also, how much would the payments be each month?

Credit Experts, Please Read My Question?

Alex,,

Here's the deal, if you get the credit card and borrow $800 on it, it will hurt your credit score.

Your minimum monthly payment will be about $25 or $30

(You can ask the credit card company what your payment will be)

If you pay $30 a month, that is $360 a year. You will be paying that for about 25 or 30 years. So the $800 Guitar will cost you about $9,000.00 to $10,000.00 over time.

How bad do you want it??

Credit Experts, Please Read My Question?

dont do it

Credit Experts, Please Read My Question?

don't do it see if the guy will allow you to make payments to him directly (get a written contract ) and i would offer a 100 a month

Credit Experts, Please Read My Question?

You should save money to buy the guitar. This way the interest rate works for you rather than against you. If you pay $100/month you will pay almost $50 extra(paying 745.26 total) if your interest rate is 18%. However depositing $100/month into an account earning 6% you end up with $10 extra.

The difference is greater if you look at $50/month over 14 months.

I might not seem like a lot of money in this example, but if you repeat this choice over and over it will either increase or decrease your standard of living with the same income.

Credit question?

I have excellent credit, always have. My live-in boyfriend, unfortunately has awful credit! Question is, if we were to marry, would this ruin my credit? Or would I be ok as long as we did not apply for any type of loan/credit together. I individually own the home that we share.

Credit question?

Don't believe it. His credit will show up on yours at some point, especially if you get married. It does happen. It doesn't matter if you apply for stuff together or not, somehow it happens. Keeping your own name might help a little, but eventually it catches up with you.

Make sure you do not answer any of his calls, give your name as his wife, girlfriend or anything else if they call looking for money.

Don't get a joint checking account. That is another way for them to get your name.

Protect yourself.

Credit question?

No, his credit will not affect yours unless you apply for anything together and he sarts defaulting on payments and that sort of thing. The only thing that can ruin your credit is by applying or %26quot;inquiring%26quot; for too many different things loans, credit cards, store charges, autos, etc. You can however help him get his credit back where it should be by putting his name on something of yours and making the payments on time and carrying a small balance. This way you will not have to deal with his bad credit for the rest of your relationship.

Credit question?

keep things separate and you'll be fine. Do not put him on the title to the home.

if ur in it for the long haul then help him to address his so that later down the road you might be able to buy your next home together. if you have your deal together he's got no excuse not to work on his!

just my thoughts!

Credit question?

I'm in the exact same position. Be very careful with it. You should definitely have different accounts and give him time to improve his credit. If you decide to buy a house before his is improved, stand alone on the mortgage. Credit has a huge impact on interest rate... Good Luck.

Credit question?

No your credit will not be affected. Becareful if you end up getting any joint credit that you continue to pay on time and keep low balances. I suggest you handle the payment of any joint credit and carefully monitor any of his spending on joint accounts.

Credit question?

u marry the person,u marry it all, famlly, friends, bad habits(oh yea bad credit

Credit question?

I have the same problem, What I do is when we apply say for instance for a Department store line of credit I all ways Put my name as the acct. holder and him as the second. This Willl help to build his credit and not hurt yours as long as you pay your bills on time. Remember to only add him DO NOT apply as a joint acct. This wil affect you. GOOD LUCK

Credit question?

unfortunately, your deadbeat, um, i mean boyfriend's credit will cause yours to suffer. You may have excellent credit now, but once you're married his crap becomes your crap. The only way to avoid this is to keep your name, and help him start cleaning up his credit. His credit will NEVER get better as long as he has delinqunt accounts. THe name change thing also saves you the trouble of getting all new ID's, Driver's Licenses, Credit cards, etc. Once you clean up his credit, it's up to you how you do it then. Sooner or later, he's gona NEED to stand on his own. He won't be able to do anything without credit. Insurance companies, cell phones, etc. all use credit history as a guage for you. I suggest having Mr. Deadbeat that can't pay his bills like he VOWED to do when he signed the sales tickets, and the credit card contracts, that he needs to get a job, or if he has one, a SECOND job to help pay of HIS debt. You two get married and yours becomes his as well. Don't ignore this, you'll suffer in the long run. How do you think student loans for your kids will be decided?

Credit question?

Per the answer stating:

keep things separate and you'll be fine. Do not put him on the title to the home.

Depending on the state, Minnesota is one of them, once you get married the spouse as Marital interest in the property. Which means that when you go to sell the home or refinance, he does have to sign the paperwork. He is in title because of the marital interest.

Just wanted to clear that up. States are different, so you may want to check with a local title company for the laws in your state.

Good luck!

Advice for a full time student and his wife with a child?

My Husband is a full time student, he's just a sophomore in college, majoring in economics. We have a young son, and we're trying to figure out how to make ends meet. My husband watches our son and does his homework while I clean houses. We're just not figuring out how to make ends meet... Should we consider applying for a student loan?

Advice for a full time student and his wife with a child?

I know times are tough right now, because they were for my boyfriend and I when we first had my son. He is now three months old and we are still trying to get the hang of things. Although neither of us is in college, I do know that they have housing options for students with families. You should really look into that, especially if you are paying rent wherever you are staying at now. And yes, definitely look into student loans. It's not like you can get in trouble for not paying them right away. You have a lot of time to pay them off after he graduates.

Good luck.

Advice for a full time student and his wife with a child?

Yes. He would not make enough in a part-time job to offset the cost of childcare. The only other option would be you finding a job that pays more than your current one. Student loans are a good thing and will help your family in this case.

Advice for a full time student and his wife with a child?

I completly understand except for the kid. My husband is a full time student as well and it is so hard just with me and him. I do nanny for someone in your same shoes and they have a lot of student aid to help them. They both are students with a son as well and they rent out an apartment off campus. With the student aid that they get their rent is extremely cheap and they get alot of beneifts to help them get groceries and even paying me to watch there son they get help with. They seem to make it work. It is hard but have faith God only gives you what you can handle!

Advice for a full time student and his wife with a child?

Why did you two have a baby if you can't make ends meet? I suggest you plan your lives out better in the future. Sit down and really talk about the present and future and where you hope to be. If you keep having children, that will further put you in debt.

Do you have any relatives that can watch the baby while you go to work? Can't your husband take on a part time job? Look at your expenses and see what you can cut out that are extras; cable TV, dinners out, the coffee and muffin at Starbucks, etc.

Make a budget for yourselves monthly and stick to it. Make sure you are also protecting yourselves from getting pregnant again. Taking out loans means you will have to pay them back someday. I suggest you only do that as a last resort after you really have tried all other options.

Advice for a full time student and his wife with a child?

My son just graduated from college about 18 months ago, having a wife and family. He got school loans and worked only during the summer when not in school, he got a little help from family services ie. food credits, and got on 'section 8 housing'. They got energy assistance for winter heating, and also got on a program that paid most of their phone bill. They lived comfortably, even bought a dodge caravan and she didn't even need to work.

Advice for a full time student and his wife with a child?

Been there with 4 kids!!! My husband was doing his apprenticeship, which paid next to nothing, while going to full time school. He decided to go back to school when we had 3 kids and I was pregnant with our 4th. No, it wasn't the best timing, but figured it would just get harder to go back. (His apprenticeship was related to the schooling he needed.) We moved to a smaller place, with a lower house payment. Since we had so many kids, it wouldn't have been worth it for me to work, just to have to pay it all to daycare. And, being pregnant, I was pretty sick. We took advantage of a few student loans, but didn't take out too much. He was able to get grants to pay for most of his schooling, so if you haven't looked into financial aid/grants, do that! You won't have to start paying back the student loans until he is done with college. You might try to find someone that is need of childcare, and watch their kid/s a few days a week for some extra money. My husband also found some things that he sold on ebay that brought in some extra money. (bought stuff on clearance sales, and sold it for a lot more than he bought it for!) We would also go donate plasma every now and then. (20 bucks is a lot of money when the baby is hungry and you're out of food!) I also know some people in similar situations that have become consultants for those home parties, like Pampered Chef, stickers, etc., and they seem to bring in some good extra money. Now I have gone back to school full time, so money is still tight, just not as tight as it was since my husband is done with school and now getting paid.

Good luck! Somehow you'll make it through. Just remember, it won't last forever. There is a light at the end of the tunnel!

Advice for a full time student and his wife with a child?

most pregnancy are not planned, its good that he can go to still go to school,it usually dose not work out that way.someone dose need a job though, get child care asst.you can make it.good luck.

Advice for a full time student and his wife with a child?

I am 20 and also a sophmore in college I am full time student majoring in criminal justice and psychology. I also work full time and raise my 2 kids, their father passed away so its just me and the kids now, so I know how you feel.

You can apply for grants and he can go to school on free, it's based on income and yeah it sounds like you two would get it.

Maybe he should get a part time or full time job also so you two have more money for bills/food/diapers.

Advice for a full time student and his wife with a child?

Dont worry..this difficulties are temperory and once your husbant completes the course, he will get paid well...until then lets think what we can do.... Why dont you work for some hours from your house itself or when your hubby is at home, you can go out and work. If you have computer at home, try to find some online business. I found a interesting website which can help you for this...www.seekluck.com. Else start a small home base business like making candles or preparing some snacks and you can sell it to your neighbouring baker or houses.

Find some time in the early morning when no disturbance is there....forget everything...sit and relax your mind..think about the future and ways to defeat your present problems-find the positve things you have-think how to cash it - only new IDEAS are needed. Trust me...I am sure you will certainly succeed. ................ All the best.

Advice for a full time student and his wife with a child?

Have you considered going to work at a child care center? Tons of them offer free child care while you work so the little guy could go to work with you, and hubby could get a part-timer to make a little extra cash. Plus, I do BabyCrazy from home (www.babycrazy.com/sobrien) and make extra money while I stay home with my 2 boys. Remember, it's only temporary, just think, in a couple of yrs hubby will have his degree and can make more money! Hang in there!

Have you filled out a FAFSA form?

http://www.fafsa.ed.gov

The government can get you tons of free money, grants, and really good deals on loans.

Considering your situation they may be able to help you out a RIDICULOUS amount.

Also, shop for lenders if you think you need additional loans (outside of what FAFSA will give you for free). Different lenders can give you sometimes better rates than what the school offers.

For questions on loans and stuff try http://www.studentaidlending.com

How do i go about getting into a university?

I'm 30 years old, live in the UK and have a couple of d grade a levels. How would i go about getting into university and applying for a student loan ?

How do i go about getting into a university?

It's best to contact the university you are looking into applying to.

If you want to take a degree that requires previous knowledge of particular subjects, you will have to satisfy those requirements by offering GCSE, O level, AS or A level or their equivalents as appropriate.

Once you have got a place at university you will be sent information about student loans by you LEA.

Is this good???

I applied for a student loan, my friend co-signed with me.. I got conditionally approved, printed out the promissory note/contract.. basically I mail it in and they do the attendance and income verification and then disburse the funds.. is there a good chance I am going to get the loan??

Is this good???

My crystal ball says no.... co-signed promissary notes are bad juju

Is this good???

Is this good??? No. You better hope you DON'T get that loan. Better read the fine print closely. I'm sure you'll see that if you are late with even one payment, your interest rate will skyrocket. You will never be able to write the loan off by filing bankruptcy. It will be with you for the rest of your life. Tell them, immediately, that you changed your mind and don't want their money. There should be a grace period during which you can get out of it.

Breast implant surgery is very safe nowadays. My cousin got her breast reduction, tummy tuck and facelift surgery in India by the company called Tour2india4health Consultants .The Price for the surgery she paid in India was very less. She paid 30% of the cost she was quoted in America.

Tour2india4health Consultants is very famous in India. They arrange cosmetic and plastic surgery for foreigners in India. I read a lot about them in the Newspapers and about their patient stories. They arrange financing for USA, Canadian, UK and other international patients who plan to have surgery abroad for low price, as the breast reduction, tummy tuck, facelift and other cosmetic surgery is not covered by insurance. They also have photos pasted of their International patients. You can checkout their website. There are huge cost savings. As a doctor I personally believe that surgery can be easily handled in India, as the quality of healthcare available In India is simply best in the world. The surgeons are USA/UK trained and facilities are 5 star.

My dad bought me a g35 coupe i want to trade/sell it for a maney g35 coupe while he still pays for t

basicly he dosnt want to do any more paper work because we got a preety good deal on the auto one i found one wroth the same amount as mine and one a lil more expensive i can cover the difference in cost like a grand or 2..is this posible or dose my dad have to apply for a brand new loan and everything...Thanks to anyone trying to help me out ...

My dad bought me a g35 coupe i want to trade/sell it for a maney g35 coupe while he still pays for the auto?

A car loan is for a specific car and a new loan must be issued for a different one. Also consider that the value of your current car is a great deal less than what you payed for it due to blue-book adjustments and price differences as pertains to trade-value vs. sale value vs. loan value. There is no way around the paperwork, but if you are certain you can handle the price difference...that should ease your dad's pain a little.

My dad bought me a g35 coupe i want to trade/sell it for a maney g35 coupe while he still pays for the auto?

its all new paperwork. how about you get a job and support yourself, then you could get what you want.

My dad bought me a g35 coupe i want to trade/sell it for a maney g35 coupe while he still pays for the auto?

lucky you, a G35 IS NOT a cheap car.

My dad bought me a g35 coupe i want to trade/sell it for a maney g35 coupe while he still pays for the auto?

The title for the car you have now will show a lien held by the loan company. So you can't transfer that title from your father without paying off that lien first. So unless you can convince your father to do paperwork you are just going to have to drive his automatic G35 until you can afford your own.

Fico score is a rip off!?

I applied for a car loan. Dealership used transunion and my fico was 637. credit union uses transunion and fico was 555. i checked online w/ transunion and fico was 637.-these were all 3 checked in the same day. I know every lender uses their own system and pulls what they want from your credit report to decide on approving u or not-but why the heck does transunion charge u for your score when it does not mean crap? it will never be exactly the true score when lenders all use different factors!!!!

Fico score is a rip off!?

Hi, and thanks for writing. Something is wrong. Your score shouldn't vary this much. I see from your question you already know a lot about credit, but I'd still advise you to go back to the basics: Check all 3 credit REPORTS (not scores) from all 3 big credit reporting agencies -- Equifax, TransUnion and Experian.

For those who don't know, a credit report is the raw data about your credit history -- who you have loans with, and your history of paying them. Once a year, you can get a credit report for free via www.annualcreditreport.com.

A credit score is the three-digit number that's distilled from your credit report.

The formulas that the three agencies use vary a little bit, but not much. If your credit scores vary as much as yours do, that means there's something on one credit report that isn't on another, and you need to find out why.

Inaccurate negative information can be erased from your credit report, and that will lift your credit score. Go to the offender's Web site; each of the 3 provides an online way to challenge it. I hope that's the case. Accurate negative information, unfortunately, stays on the report seven years.

Good luck!

Fico score is a rip off!?

Each credit union has multiple scoring algorithms for different categories of business. For example, experience shows that formula that predicts a good customer for a home mortgage does not predict a good customer for a car loan. Some lenders, like the one I worked for downloaded the credit bureau data and score it themselves using their own algorithm. They charge because they are in business. They don't have a gun to your head. You chose to pay for a score that your credit bureau doesn't use. That's not Transunion's fault.
