I'm 30 years old, live in the UK and have a couple of d grade a levels. How would i go about getting into university and applying for a student loan ?

It's best to contact the university you are looking into applying to.
If you want to take a degree that requires previous knowledge of particular subjects, you will have to satisfy those requirements by offering GCSE, O level, AS or A level or their equivalents as appropriate.
Once you have got a place at university you will be sent information about student loans by you LEA.
